Question Cloudy Water on Hot Water Side

I have a house that I looked at that has been vacant for several months. When running the hot water side, the water is not clear, it is cloudy. Is this a result of the home being vacant? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Air in the water. Let it run for 20-30 minutes.

    Air or hydrogen (sulfide?).
Be sure NOT to run the dishwasher or have an open flame where the gas can accumulate.
There was a thread here a while back that showed a dishwasher that exploded on military base housing and was found to be an accumulation of explosive gas.
